Rob Dyrdek’s Skate Plaza located in Kettering, Ohio was opened on June 11th, 2005. It’s the first skate park of it’s kind, boasting “real” street terrain that most skate parks don’t offer. Another Skate Plaza located in Shreveport, Louisiana recently opened it’s doors on March 26th. Also, check out “Groundbreaking”, a 30-minute documentary by DC Films which features footage of today’s top pros and ams at the Kettering Skate Plaza, as well as bonus footage on how to get a Skate Plaza built in your own town. Check out Element Skateboards “Endangered” series. Element is big on the art community, and the Endangered program was an opporunity for them to give back to the culture that helped shape them as individuals and a company. The series contains the work of 5 different artists. Be sure to check out the Michael Leon video documentary. Very cool.
